Easter at Meritage

First I would like to thank everyone who has been checking out the recipes on  The Wise Baby Blog.  I love when I get emails and texts with pics of people making my recipes!  Thank you and keep them coming it makes me so happy!!

Over the weekend I did not do much cooking but we did do a lot of eating!   Easter brunch at Meritage in St. Paul was the highlight. (Meritage) If you haven't been to Meritage yet seriously whats wrong with you?!  In all seriousness this is our favorite restaurant in the twin cities for countless reasons.  I LIVE for french bistros and Chef Russell Klein delivers on every aspect from decor, cocktails, ambiance, and most importantly food.  Enough small talk lets get down to the food.  Hank had the cornmeal pancakes off the kids menu.  Best pancake I have ever had no question.  They were crispy and pipping hot with griddle marks on them!  We had an app of beignets and homemade strawberry/ dark chocolate scone.  The beignets were melt in your mouth heaven.  Pete went for the steak and eggs.  Which had the best potatoes on the side.  I had the Upper West Sider.  The bagels are flown in from NYC and the tomatoes were out of control perfection.   I spent the whole rest of Easter talking about the amazing food we enjoyed and soaking up the sun with my boys at the park.  I wish it could be Easter every Sunday!

The Easter bunny came!
