Happy Halloween!!

We celebrated this weekend with a dinner party with our good friends Steven Segal and the Black Swan.  It was a glorious cheat meal.  I made an arugula salad with slow roasted tomato crostinis and turkey bolognese with rigatoni.  Both recipes are from Gwyneth's cookbook which I happen to be obsessed with.  Dessert was pumpkin bars with vanilla custard fresh from Wise Acres.  If you havent made the pumpkin bars yet what are you waiting for?!?!   I have to say it was AMAZING!!!  It was also very fun to eat a decadent meal dressed as bacon.  Pete was the egg to my bacon.  Post dinner we headed to the Twin Town Crossfit Party and learned Teddy is opening another location in NE next to Brasa.  So exciting!! We also hit up our good friend Ted's Bday at Kieran's which was wild and filled with some great costumes!  I hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween I'm headed to Crossfit to work off Saturdays dessert and start my week 2 off right!

  1. Kel, I made the pumpkin bars and you are absolutely right...they are AMAZING!! Gave half of the batch away to friends and they were obsessed with them as well!
